On the evening of January 11, 1996, while Mitt Romney was in the final years of his run as the head ofBain Capital, Barack Obama formally joined the New Party, which was deeply hostile to the mainstream of the Democratic party and even to American capitalism. In 2008, candidate Obama deceived the American public about his potentially damaging tie to this third party. The issue remains as fresh as today’s headlines, as Romney argues that Obama is trying to move the United States toward European-style social democracy, which was precisely the New Party’s goal.
Rep. Jackson Jr: Raising Minimum Wage to $20 Would ‘By Far Surpass’ What It Was Designed For – LOL. I am worth $100 000 / hr….
Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-Ill.) proposed raising the minimum wage to $10 an hour today but when asked why it should not be raised to $20 an hour Jackson did not answer directly, saying only that “even making the argument for $20 an hour would by far surpass” the goal the minimum wage was designed to reach.
….”And so paying the American people what they are worth for the work they are already doing is the priority of this legislation, and it ought to happen immediately…
…Nobel Laureate Joe Stiglitz has a new book out on inequality and he highlights that the heirs to the Walton fortune, the Wal-Mart family, the Walton family, themselves control as much wealth as the bottom 30 million Americans, the handful of people in this family control as much wealth as 30 million Americans

President Obama has led America into an accelerating downward spiral. Destination: Argentina.
Obama should ask himself: “Would I start or expand a business without knowing what regulations or taxes government will impose next year?”
America has been left largely in the hands of us Baby Boomers, more than 75 million strong. And even though we’ll deny it vociferously, the evidence is pretty clear that we’ve made a mess of things pretty much across the board, in large measure due to our unwillingness to put the interests of our children first. In sum, we are selfish, entitled toads who hate our kids.
One should resist reading too much into the Wisconsin results – exit polls suggest that antipathy to recall elections themselves was the decisive factor. But certainly the unpopularity of unions in general and public employee unions in particular was a powerful subtext.
An election night that began with Wisconsin Republican Gov. Scott Walker winning his recall election grew progressively worse for public-sector unions as California voters approved steep pension-cutting measures in two major cities.
Voters in San Diego and San Jose overwhelmingly passed ballot initiatives Tuesday to reduce retirement benefits for city workers by switching from traditional plans to 401(k)-style contribution plans. San Diego voters also approved a second proposition allowing the city to hire non-union labor on construction contracts.
As Spain edges closer to a full sovereign rescue, economists have begun to doubt whether the EU bail-out machinery can raise such large sums funds at viable cost on global capital markets.
In a couple of years it will have become resistant to every treatment option we have available now
